Ban on PTI is being contemplated, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif
Defense minister says attacks on military installations were carried out under a well-thought-out scheme
Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan is contemplating ban on Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). While he has also revealed that Asad Qaiser has decided to leave PTI.
This was revealed by Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif while talking to the media in Islamabad. He said that attacks on Corps Commander House in Lahore, Jinnah House, GHQ in Rawalpindi, and Army installations in Peshawar were carried out under a well-thought-out scheme.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that this is now being proven, many evidences are also coming out that PTI workers were briefed before the attacks. They were briefed that if I am arrested then they have to do this, if so and so is arrested then you have to do this.
He said that all tactics of Imran Khan had failed in one year, and an attack on our defense line was Imran Khan’s last resort. His ambitions were very heinous, those ambitions may be of an Indian but not of a Pakistani.
He said that what happened on May 9, an attempt was made to target our forces, the events of May 9 did not happen suddenly, in the background of all this, the party was banned.
In response to a question, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that it is very different to hate the events of May 9, what happened in the seventies and eighties was completely political tension, at that time people everywhere criticized our defense. The installations were not damaged. He never challenged the state anywhere. There were definitely differences with the then government. But on May 9, the state writ has been challenged.
