Boat Basin of Karachi to Transform Into Food Street

Sindh government has decided to transform Boat Basin in Karachi into an official food street under Neighborhood Improvement Project.
The project will be started in October with the aid of the World Bank. It will be completed in 7 months.

The government will close the road for traffic and beautify surroundings for enhancing experience.
However, the environmental experts and town planners have expressed grave concerns about the proposed plan.
The experts said that the government has not conducted the environmental impact survey and assessment (EIA) before starting the project.
They said it is necessary to study traffic and parking problems in the area as well.
