According to sources, a committee was formed by the prime minister under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. Which has completed the recommendations regarding Tosha Khana.
Important amendments have been proposed to the Toshakhana rules. The report related to Toshakhana will be presented in the cabinet meeting soon for approval.
According to sources, the committee has proposed to change the policy regarding receiving gifts from foreign countries.
Sources say that the committee has recommended that in future any gift received from abroad should not be given to any public office holder.
According to the sources, it is also recommended to adopt a transparent procedure for the auction of the gifts, after the auction, the money received from the gifts will be deposited in the national treasury.
On the other hand, in today’s meeting of the federal cabinet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, recommendations related to Toshakhana were to be presented, however, the agenda of the investigation report of the ministerial committee on Toshakhana was dropped from the cabinet meeting and a new 8-point agenda was issued.
