Court Refuses to Remove PPP MPAs Names in Murder Case

A significant development happened in the case of Ume Rubab as Dadu’s Criminal Model Trial Court has ordered to uphold the names of MPAs in the Mehar triple murder case.
In February, Ume Rubab’s car met an accident in Dadu district in Sindh when she was on her way back home after attending the hearing of her case against Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) MPA Nawab Sardar Khan Chandio.
While addressing a presser, the complainant alleged that her vehicle was hit by a car driven by a guard of Nawab Sardar Khan Chandio.

In light of recent events, the trial court Judge Nadeem Babar pronounced a reserved verdict, saying that the names of PPP’s MPAs, Sardar Khan Chandio and Burhan Chandio, will not be removed from the murder case.
In response to the court’s decision, Sindh Assembly lawmaker Sardar Khan Chandio said that he will appeal against the decision in the high court.
While talking to the media, petitioner Ume Rubab Chandio thanked people who supported her in difficult times by voicing against feudalism.
She seemed hopeful after the court has made a decision based on justice and will continue her struggle to fight the case till justice it is served.
Back in January 2018, Rubab’s family members including her father, Mukhtar Ahmed Chandio, her grandfather Karamullah Chandio and her uncle Qabil Chandio, were killed in front of the DSP Police Office.
