Did FIA Make Right Call by Suspending Immigration Officer?

According to a 15-year-old girl, the officer asked for contact details and sweets at Karachi airport

A recent video has been rounding on social media against a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration officer who was suspended for allegedly harassing a 15-year-old girl at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

FIA immigration officer was identified as Sanjay Kumar and deployed at the immigration counter.

According to the teenager, who had landed in Karachi from Bahrain, told ‘the officer asked for her contact details and some sweets upon return’.

In a video circulating on social media, Sanjay was asked some hard-hitting questions by some people present there such as the core reason for asking girl’s contact details. At this, he responded that it was an official requirement for documents. Sanjay tried to clarify he asked for sweets without any wrong intentions.

One of them asked whether the officer had any connection with the girl to which Sanjay shook his head.

The people inculpated the immigration officer for harassing a 15-year-old girl, who was traveling alone and repeated claims to which Sanjay walked away in frustration.
