Faisal Vawda expects ‘bloodshed’ in PTI long march; Sanaullah highlights preparations

PTI leader Faisal Vawda predicted 'bloodshed' during the long march, on the other hand, Minister Rana Sanaullah highlighted preparations of the government.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda has shown fears of ‘bloodshed’ during the upcoming long march in Islamabad without naming anyone, on the other hand, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah highlighted preparations of the government with ‘poisonous bullets’.

Yesterday, Faisal Vawda said in his press conference and a talk show at a private news channel that bloodshed would be witnessed in the upcoming PTI long march. However, he refused to comment on a question about who will create a bloodshed situation during the long march.

On the other hand, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said in a TV programme that the government completed its preparations to stop the PTI marchers from entering Islamabad ‘at any cost’. He said that the government summoned military troops for security under Article 245.

He told the TV programme host Asma Shirazi that police and Frontier Corps (FC) will be deployed on the first tier of the security line in the federal capital. The police and FC contingents will be equipped with tear gas shells and rubber bullets. He added Rangers personnel will be deployed on the second tier and then Pakistan Army personnel will be deployed on the third tier.

In a statement, Sanaullah said that the security teams would also be equipped with ‘poisonous bullets’ to stop the lawbreakers. He alleged that Imran Khan was apparently waiting for a major incident like the assassination of senior journalist Arshad Sharif to begin his long march.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI chief Imran Khan announced to hold a long march on Friday from Lahore’s Liberty Chowk.
