Is the minister right?

Fawad’s suggestion seems appropriate if local production of tea and jute is scrutinized.

Representing the basis of its economy, the state emblem of Pakistan features jute and tea. It was adopted in 1954 when East and West Pakistan had not disintegrated.

Tea and jute were the major cash crops of East Pakistan, now Bangladesh.

Still today, Bangladesh is the 10 largest producer of tea in the world while in jute production, it is ranked second in the world after India.

Suggestion welcomed

The innovation in the coat of arms was acknowledged by the Twitter users who responded with new specimens.

The information minister hasn’t specified any plan when and whether these changes will be made to the national logo.
