Is Nadeem Malik Really Feeling Threatened by FIA Notice?

The anchorperson was called by the FIA on July 6 with "all relevant information, documents, and evidence”.

Pakistani senior anchorperson Nadeem Malik welcomed the tip of the iceberg as the Counter-Terrorism Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued a notice over his remarks regarding late accountability court judge Arshad Malik in his show on April 28 this year.

According to the anchorperson, the late judge was called to a place at Constitution Avenue and was blackmailed that his objectionable video recorded three decades earlier would be made public if favorable verdicts in cases against Nawaz Sharif weren’t given.

Last year on July 3, Judge Malik was dismissed from his position as an accountability court judge after PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz claimed that he was blackmailed into convicting her father without any evidence.

The FIA has summoned the anchorperson for his comments regarding the whole scandal.

“Please refer to your ‘Nadeem Malik Live Programme’ on Samaa News dated April 28, 2021, [that] revealed that you have important information which can be relevant for the agency to further investigate the above-mentioned case and to link some relevant persons with this case,” said the notice.

Nadeem Malik Threatened FIA Notice

Several politicians and journalists extended verbal support to the anchorperson and termed him as ‘the most professional journalist of Pakistan’.

Responding to FIA call, Nadeem Malik ruled out appearing before the agency and said that he would be available in his office tomorrow.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Nadeem Malik has made it to the headlines with his spicy and contentious remarks.

Back in 2015, one of the Twitter users criticized Nadeem Malik for creating controversial content as he interrogated Dr Tanveer Zamani about her marriage with ex-president Asif Ali Zardari.
