Is Maryam Nawaz Trying to Please India?

The government official seemed surprised about who is providing her such insights about the Afghan issue

In a Twitter post, SAPM Shahbaz Gill showed curiosity when Maryam Nawaz shed her thoughts on the current situation in Afghanistan and blamed Pakistan of interference in the affairs of the neighboring country.

Addressing to media outside Islamabad High Court (IHC), PML-N Vice-President Maryam said Pakistan should accept the decision of the Afghan people and stay away from the country’s internal affairs.

Maryam added that Afghanistan is an independent country and “Pakistan should not impose its decisions on them”.

Though Maryam Nawaz hasn’t been actively participating in the media talks but as soon as she makes an appearance or comments on any issue, she sparks a new controversy.

Countering her statement on Afghanistan, Shahbaz Gill said that Maryam is trying to give an impression that Pakistan is interfering in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.

Further, he seemed surprised about who broke such information to her while questioning who she was pleasing with such statements.

He also pointed fingers at her father Nawaz Sharif, who had barred the foreign ministry from speaking against India spy Kulbhushan Yadav, as part of the policy of going soft on New Delhi.
