Cotton, being the significant crop of Pakistan, is harvested excessively in the provinces of Sindh and Punjab but Tehsil Kamalia of district Toba Tek Singh in the latter is famous all over the country for producing hand spun and woven khaddar fabric.
Tehsil Kamalia is known for its brown color variant of the crop with which the best quality khaddar is woven.
