Lahore blast: Govt, opposition fail to give unified stance against terrorism
Government and opposition continued their traditional rivalry instead of taking a unified stance against terrorism following Lahore blast.
LAHORE: The government and opposition have continued their traditional rivalry instead of taking a unified stance against terrorism following a bomb blast at a busy market of Lahore, Anarkali Bazaar.
A powerful bomb blast hit Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar on Thursday evening, leaving at least three people dead and 29 wounded which is said to be a remote-controlled explosion.
The central leaders of the ruling and major opposition parties were seen hurling statements to malign and blame each other for inaction to reach affected people.
It was learnt that Prime Minister Imran Khan had been chairing a session of the spokespersons in Islamabad at the time of the Lahore bomb blast.
Moreover, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Lahore blast and later he blamed PM Imran Khan for adopting wrong policies that led to the initiating of terrorism in Pakistan once again.

Reacting to Maryam’s criticism, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill slammed the PML-N VP, saying that he is surprised over her confidence to spread lies.
Gill continued that prior to taunting the premier, Maryam Nawaz should tell the nation about her Zoom meeting’s agenda which was continued after the bomb explosion in Lahore. He added that how Maryam Nawaz has managed time to talk with her dietitian after the Lahore blast.
pic.twitter.com/tckS2kxWvy

The apathy of the major political parties was exhibited by the top leaders by mercilessly running politics instead of addressing the grievances of the nation hit by terrorism.
