The PML-N VP also criticised the ruling of the deputy speaker in the absence of the NA speaker Asad Qaiser on the days of voting on the no-trust move. She later alleged that Bushra Bibi’s close friend Farah Khan was not a frontwoman but a de facto Punjab chief minister with strings leading back to Bani Gala.

Maryam also questioned the transfer of the Pakistani ambassador to the United States (US) Asad Majeed to Brussels after the revelations of the threat letter.

Political analysts said that Maryam’s stance raised many questions regarding the political scenario as the NSC approved the decision to lodge a protest with the US authorities regarding the threatening content mentioned in the diplomatic cable.

Regarding her next allegation regarding the envoy’s transfer, Asad Majeed completed his term in the US before being deputed to Brussels and his appointment was confirmed in November last year.

Moreover, Asad Qaiser had not attended the NA session due to the submission of a no-trust move against him by the opposition lawmakers and the deputy speaker gave the ruling on behalf of the NA speaker in accordance with the law.

Maryam Nawaz levelled corruption allegations against Farah Khan in her press conference. Sources told News360 that Farah Khan is facing corruption accusations in Punjab that could be proved as a major blow to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in future.
