No More Use of Smartphones at Bacha Khan Airport

The airport officials will seize the mobile phones of the violators and initiate legal action against them

The use of smartphones has been banned at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar without disclosure of circumstances.

A notification in this regard has also been issued by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

It said that the use of smartphones at all restricted areas of the airport is prohibited without prior permission. The prohibition includes all lounges and apron areas.

The airport officials will seize the mobile phones of the violators and initiate legal action against them.

Sources said the ban has been imposed in light of the changing security condition in Afghanistan and its possible effects on Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Officially, CAA has disclosed the duration of the ban neither the circumstances under which it has been placed.
