PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim Bijar returned to Pakistan via a foreign airline’s flight to Karachi to cast his vote in no-trust move against PM.
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Jam Abdul Karim Bijar has returned to Pakistan via a foreign airline’s flight to Karachi to cast his vote in the no-trust move against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Upon his arrival at Karachi’s airport, Jam Abdul Karim has been handed over to the Karachi police officials by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The lawmaker had already secured protective bail from the Sindh High Court (SHC) in the Nazim Jokhio murder case.
Earlier, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed had ordered the arrest of the PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim upon his arrival in Islamabad from Dubai as the lawmaker is facing charges of murder of Nazim Jokhio. He had also announced to refer Abdul Karim’s name to Interpol.
Jokhio wife pardons killers
The widow of slain Nazim Jokhio had said on Tuesday that she pardons all suspects including PPP MPA Jam Awais and his brother MNA Jam Abdul Karim — accused of her husband’s murder.
In a video message, Shireen Jokhio said she wanted to fight but she was left alone by her own people. She added that she took the decision to pardon out of compulsion and for the safety of her children.

Shireen Jokhio said that he did not pardon the killers for money, adding that she left the matters to Allah’s will as justice could not be served in the country.
ECL, PNIL inclusion
In line with the cabinet’s decision, the interior ministry had placed the names of all the accused and co-accused including PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The FIA had also put the name of PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim on its Provincial National Identification List (PNIL) which will bar him from leaving the country following the directives of Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
Nazim Jokhio murder
The 27-year-old Nazim Jokhio was found tortured to death at a farmhouse owned by the PPP MPA while the family nominated Jam Awais, his brother PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim and their henchmen in the murder case.
The horrible incident had taken place after Nazim Jokhio resisted the hunting of houbara bustard by PPP lawmakers’ Arab guests in Achar Salaar village on the outskirts of Karachi’s Malir district.
