Former provincial minister Murad Ras, who was named as the main suspect in the attack on Corps Commander House by the Punjab Police, engaged in independent political activities after parting ways with PTI.

Former provincial minister Murad Ras, who was named as the main suspect in the Corps Commander House attack by Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, became busy with political activities.

On behalf of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, PTI’s former provincial minister Murad Ras was named as the mastermind and accused of the attack on Corps Commander’s House, but he has announced leaving PTI.

According to the chart shared by IG Dr. Usman Anwar in the press conference, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Aslam Iqbal, Mahmood-ul-Rashid, Ijaz Chaudhry and Murad Ras are the main accused in the Corps Commander House attack.

Former Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras announced the separation of Tehreek-e-Insaf after the violent incidents of May 9, while according to the police, he is the main suspect in the attack on the Corps Commander House Lahore.

The police is reluctant to arrest Murad Raas, the prime accused in the attack on the Corps Commander’s House, after he announced that he had quit the PTI, while he is also engaged in political activities.

Several senior leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaaf were arrested by the Punjab Police and the federal government in the violent incidents of May 9, but they were released only after holding a press conference.

Attacks on Corps Commander’s House in Lahore, GHQ in Rawalpindi, Radio Pakistan in Peshawar and other sensitive buildings and burning private and government properties have given freedom to PTI defectors.

The main accused of the Jinnah House attack, Murad Ras, has escaped from the police despite being in the public eye.

The disaffected political leaders of PTI have joined hands with Murad Ras to form a new political alliance. Former ministers Hashim Dogar and Murad Ras formed a new group called ‘Democrats’.

According to the sources, 30 to 40 members of the provincial and national assembly have indicated joining the Democrats under the leadership of Murad Ras. Contact with the leaders of Jahangir Tareen group is also ongoing.

Murad Ras said that Imran Khan was not directly responsible for May 9 but Imran Khan could not control the party leaders and workers regarding the attack on government buildings and military installations.

He said that parting ways with Tehreek-e-Insaf and Imran Khan after the worst incidents that happened on May 9 is an emotional reaction, but we were not forced to leave the party by any side.
