Sajid Sadpara & Team Buried Bodies of Dead Mountaineers
Sajid Sadpara and his team began the K-2 expedition for the second time to find the bodies of his father and his colleagues
The son of legendary late mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Sajid, released a message saying that his team has been successful in retrieving the bodies of his father and his colleagues near the bottleneck of K-2 but they weren’t able to bring the bodies down.
Sajid Ali Sadpara began the K-2 expedition for the second time along with his teammates including Canadian filmmaker Elia Saikaly and Nepal’s Pasang Kaji Sherpa.
The purpose of the expedition was to find the bodies of his father Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Iceland’s John Snorri, and Chile’s Juan Pablo Mohr who went missing in February.

The three climbers were last seen on Feb 5 near the Bottleneck on K-2 while they progressing to reach the summit of the Savage Mountain.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Sajid confirmed that they retrieved the bodies of Mohammad Ali Sadpara, John Snorri of Iceland, and Juan Pablo Mohr of Chile at an altitude of around 8,400 meters on K-2.

Sajid said that they buried all three bodies near Camp 4.
morning at 8:10am. I am securing bodies of fallen climbers to a safe place and instant retrieval from above bottleneck is not possible without endangering many lives. Possibilities of retrieving bodies without further damages and without risking lives would be done at later 3/n

Earlier, Gilgit Baltistan Information Minister Fateh Ullah Khan confirmed that the bodies of Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara, Iceland’s John Snorri, and Chile’s Juan Pablo Mohr were found on July 26 at Camp 4.
Ali along with John Snorri and JP Mohr died in February during the K-2 winter summit due to malfunctioning in available oxygen supply equipment.
