Fire broke out in three factories of New Karachi Industrial Area, 4 firefighters died

At least four firefighters were killed when roof of one of three factories was gutted by fire in New Karachi’s Gabol Town Industrial Area on Wednesday morning, while at least 11 people were reportedly trapped under debris. But our question is, is there anyone who can find out how three factories caught fire together and will the government be responsible for the families of those people, their wives, and children who died due to factory collapse.

According to the information received from the rescue teams and police sources, various media channels have said that the fire fighters and rescue teams were doing the cooling process in the factory after extinguishing the fire when suddenly the building collapsed. As a result of the collapse of the building, several firefighters and civilians were buried under the debris.

The rescue teams showed quick response and pulled out four bodies from the debris, while after tireless work, 13 injured people were shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

According to fire brigade officials, all the deceased persons were fire fighters who have been identified as Mohsin, Afzal, Sohail and Khalid Shahzad.

According to rescue officials, 11 firefighters and two civilians were among the injured people who were pulled out of the wreckage. They were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

It should be noted that at 8 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, a fire broke out in 3 factories located in Gabol Town Industrial Area, New Karachi, as a result of which goods worth crores of rupees were burnt to ashes. The fire in 2 factories was brought under control soon. However, the fire in the third factory was brought under control after 16 hours.

According to the latest reports, the rescue operation is still going on and rescue sources have confirmed that they are working to find any survivors.

Investigation agencies have started an investigation to find out the cause of the fire and the resulting collapse of the building. Officials say that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the tragedy.

On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori visited the incident site this morning. He has taken notice of the death and injuries of fire fighters due to the collapse of the building after the fire in the factory. Kamran Tesori has contacted Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman and instructed him to provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
