It was built in 1886 as the first library in Karachi to serve the native population.
In the latest report, the old building of Denso Hall was restored with the equal participation of the private sector.

Murtaza accompanied by Metropolitan Commissioner Afzal Zaidi, Deputy Commissioner South District Irshad Sodhar and others paid a visit to the hall.
He seemed content with the efforts made by the concerned authorities to renew the infrastructure.
Speaking to the media Murtaza Wahab said, “Beautiful urban space has been developed behind Denso Hall with small urban forests to combat #ClimateChange and also give a nice cultural walk to Karachi citizens.
