Spewing Gutters Spill Roads of Sukkur With Wastewater

The cleanliness condition in the Sukkur city has reached an appalling condition as spewing gutters have inundated the roads across the city with the sewage water.

The road with the sporadic accumulation of wastewater is equally creating difficulties for pedestrians and motorists but the local administration and health department remain unmoved by the condition that can lead to a health hazard.

Interestingly, Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah won general elections from the PS-25 Sukkur-IV constituency in 2018.

The condition near Amanullah Chowk isn’t the only case of spewing gutters in the city but different main roads across Sukkur present similar visuals.

The citizens said that sewerage water on roads may result in a disease outbreak.

They said that the relevant departments of local government have been overlooking the issue for long.

The exasperated locals expressed that the staff responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the city were deployed at the houses of ministers and public servants.

The citizens demanded the local government minister, commissioner, and other related officials to pay heed to the issue and ensure the provision of basic facilities to them.
