TikToker Ayesha Akram Case Progresses at Snail’s Speed
The antagonists of the gruesome incident are demanding the government to expedite the action while a section of the society is engaged in victim-blaming
TikToker Ayesha Akram case investigation has progressed little in a week and only 15 of 400 nominated suspects have been arrested so far.
Since the video of the harassment episode surfaced on the internet, the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of it and directed the police to arrest the suspects.
However, despite visible faces in multiple videos, the police have only apprehended 35 suspects.

Some 20 of them were released after investigation and 15 are still in police custody.
It has also been learned that the Lahore police have not carried out the medical examination of Ayesha Akram yet.

On the other hand, a social media campaign is being run against the harassment victim where the incident is being alleged as plotted.
The critics are putting up their case by sharing different photos and videos of the TikToker, questioning her character.
