Transparent Election to Bring Able People in Senate: Kanwal Shauzab

The key component of PTI's manifesto is to bring transparency in all elections

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member National Assembly (MNA) Kanwal Shauzab quoted that the element of transparency should be prioritized in the Senate election so that eligible people make it to the upper house of parliament.

Talking to News360, PTI leader said, “We are talking about open ballot and transparency in the Senate even before the election of 2018 and it is one of the key components of our manifesto.”

Shauzab further added that PTI had already expelled 20 members from the party for taking backhanders.

The 39-year-old member recalled that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) were signatories of the Charter of Democracy (CoD) in 2006 as per which the voting process in all elections, including Senate, should be conducted by identifiable votes to avert corruption and floor-crossing.
