The internet users were caught on the wrong foot after reading views expressed by the Hard Talk host Moeed Pirzada regarding the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, Sharia, and Hijab.

In the caption of the poll, Moeed sarcastically said the Afghan Taliban have defeated America with the power of faith and divine support.

He added that the imposition of Sharia will further empower them in the country, suggesting Pakistani women to opt for wearing Hijab to make their country powerful too.

However, some people including morning show host Abdullah Sultan couldn’t understand the satire.

In another post, Moeed Pirzada clarified himself that since satire isn’t understood in Pakistan, he explained his school of thought in simple English.

Then in another tweet, Moeed Pirzada blamed Urdu columnists, websites, and vloggers for creating misunderstandings and wrong conclusions, such as divine help, on why the Taliban were victorious and the US for defeated.
