What Agricultural Sector of Pakistan Will Yield in 2021?
The water availability during the Kharif season is expected to reach 67.60 million acre-feet, up from 65.233 million acre-feet last year
Recent statistics of the agricultural sector sketch an image of production yields of Rabi and Kharif crops in 2021 which is going to be impactful on economic growth of Pakistan.
The statistics show that Pakistan’s share of the agricultural economy is 18% and about 40% population of the country was directly and indirectly employed.
The main reason for the current rise and fall of economic momentum in the country was due to large crops including wheat, cotton, sugarcane, and rice.
The production of such crops has accelerated the pace of economic growth and simultaneously, a decline in their production will have a direct impact on the economy.
Wheat, potato, and rice were placed in “Important Rabi crops of 2021” category.
