ARY is launching its sports channel A-Sports on October 16, a day before the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A-Sports will be the second private sports channel of Pakistan after Geo Super which was launched in September 2006.
Being the only private sports channel, it remained a hegemon over the years but it will now have a competitor.
The former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Wasim Akram, has been appointed as the first president of A-Sports.
The former pacer took to his Twitter account to share development.
