Inzamam ul Haq’s Health Condition Shaken up Cricket Fans

Thousands of cricket fans were left under stress after the health condition of the former Pakistani captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq, deteriorated and he was shifted to the hospital in Lahore after suffering a heart attack.

The legendary batsman underwent a successful angioplasty on Monday evening.

Earlier, the doctors said that he had been complaining about chest pain over the last 3 days and though his initial screening was cleared later, it was discovered that he had already suffered a heart attack.

Inzamam’s surgery was successful and sources have confirmed that now he is in a stable condition under the supervision of doctors.

Currently, cricket analyst, Inzamam gained global prominence during the 1992 World Cup and he is considered one of the most successful captains in Pakistan’s cricket history.

The 51-year-old cricketer is Pakistan’s highest run-getter in ODIs with 1,1701 runs in 375 matches, and their third-highest in Tests with 8,829 runs in 119 matches.

He retired from the international game in 2007 and since then, he held several positions in Pakistan, as a batting consultant and then the chief selector from 2016 to 2019.
