Pakistan’s legend bowler Wasim Akram highlighted young golfer, Omar Khalid, whom he deemed could be the country’s sports’ ‘find of the year’. But, would that be enough for the young golf talent or he would need Sultan of Swing to be at his service for pursuing his career in the game deemed as only for the rich?

Wasim Akram tweeted for the young golf player and appreciated his talent. But, it isn’t the only thing that the Sultan of Swing could do.

Wasim Akram could recall how he was spotted and brought before the world by his captain Imran Khan when the only thing he had was talent and dearth of resources.

As golf is considered a sport for the rich, the former captain can do much than to only highlight the young talent.

The lack of facilities in sports is the biggest hurdle and the cost of the game keeps many of its enthusiasts away. This is where Wasim Akram can step in and help Omar.

If the recognition of the young golfer would not become practical beyond appreciation, the likelihood that another talent goes to waste is high.

He could help arrange to facilitate Omar Khalid and request the people in his circle to help the golfer keep playing the game requiring resources.
