PML-N Senator Says Electricity Isn’t Luxury But Necessity

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Sadia Abbasi said electricity is a necessity, not a luxury. She added that new budget has invited another misery for the consumers as non-filers would be liable to pay 7.5% additional tax on the power bill of Rs 25,000 or above.

She added the power tariff had been hiked already over the past few months while the tax was cruelty.

Exasperated on it, Senator Sadia Abbasi added that imposing taxes on basic commodities would be problematic for middle-class families.
