Taliban got a walkover in Afghanistan to retain their rule after two decades which actually started on July 4 and ended on August 15.

The conquest started after July 4 when the US and its western allies bid farewell to the Bagram Airbase which was considered the nerve center of military operations in the war-ravaged country.

Following the departure of foreign troops, the militia started regaining control of tracts of lands in Afghanistan which they claimed originally belonged to them.
The capture of key cities in different provinces continued with little or no resistance from the Afghan military force as they either fled or surrendered.
Another interesting development was the runaway of two enemies of the Taliban including Atta Mohammad Noor, the former governor of Balkh province, and Abdul Rashid Dostum.
Both leaders fled the war-torn country as the city of Mazar-i-Sharif fell to the militia.
With no confrontation, the Taliban literally encountered nothing as they advanced towards the capital Kabul, sweeping the main cities in multiple provinces.
Even upon reaching the capital, a strong battle was anticipated between the Taliban and Afghan forces but it didn’t come to sight as well.
As the militia cordoned off the capital on Sunday, information emerged that Ashraf Ghani and his close aides slunk off to Tajikistan or Uzbekistan without any interception by the Taliban.
Not just the president but the rebels of foreign rule also allowed foreign dignitaries to leave the war-ravaged country without any damage.
The US military helicopters evacuating the western diplomats flew untargeted as the Taliban announced that they would not stymie the process and that the people do not need to fear them.
Besides this, after getting access into the Presidential Palace, the Taliban leaders also announced that the talks for smooth transfer of power will begin in the coming days.
Earlier, the militia officials announced that they would restore the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan after regaining control of the country but it appears to be in a pending mode.
Rather, the military group now wants to establish an open and inclusive Islamic government in Afghanistan which remained under the shadows of insurgency for two decades.
The analysts said that the Taliban notching up the landlocked territory without resistance appears to have an ulterior motive.
