ن لیگ کا میئر منتخب: پارٹی کی دھاندلی سے متعلق پالیسی برقرار؟
مسلم لیگ (ن) میئر کے انتخاب میں کامیابی کا جشن منا رہی ہے اور ممکنہ طور پر گلگت بلتستان (جی بی) میں انتخابات ہارنے کے بعد اس نے جو موقف اپنایا اسے بھول گئی ہے۔
اسلام آباد کے میئر کے انتخاب کی فاتح پاکستان مسلم لیگ (ن) کے لئے یہ ایسا وقت ہے جب وہ بظاہر دوہری پالیسی کا شکار نظر آتی ہے۔ ایک جانب تو اُس کے میئر نے انتخاب میں فتح حاصل کر لی ہے جسے اُس نے قبول کر لیا ہے جبکہ اِس سے قبل وہ کہہ چکی ہے کہ انتخابات میں منظم طریقے سے دھاندلی کی جاتی ہے۔
مسلم لیگ ن سے تعلق رکھنے والے پیرعادل شاہ نے وفاقی دارالحکومت کے میئر بننے اور اسلام آباد میٹروپولیٹن کارپوریشن (آئی ایم سی) کی سربراہی کرنے کے لئے درکار 73 ووٹوں میں سے 43 حاصل کیے۔
میئر کے انتخاب کے نتائج نے حکمراں جماعت پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی ) کے اُس موقف کی تائید کی ہے کہ وہ انتخابی عمل میں مداخلت نہیں کرنا چاہتی۔ لیکن یہ بات بھی قابل ذکر ہے کہ یہ انتخاب براہ راست نہیںہوئے بلکہ پہلے سے موجود کونسلرز نے ووٹ ڈال کر میئر کا انتخاب کیا ہے۔ براہ راست منتخب شدہ کونسلز میں اکثریت ن لیگ کے حمایت یافتہ لوگوں کی ہے۔
دلچسپ بات یہ ہے کہ فاتح پارٹی نے اس بار انتخاب کی شفافیت پر سوال نہیں اٹھایا جب اس کا امیدوار ایک بار پھر اسلام آباد کا میئر منتخب ہوا ہے۔مسلم لیگ (ن) میئر کے انتخاب میں کامیابی کا جشن منا رہی ہے۔ اور ممکنہ طور پر گلگت بلتستان (جی بی) میں انتخابات ہارنے کے بعد اس نے جو موقف اپنایا اسے بھول گئی ہے۔

سابق میئر شیخ انصرعزیز شہر کے اعلی ترقیاتی ادارے، کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) اور وفاقی حکومت کے تشکیل کردہ لوکل گورنمنٹ کمیشن کی آئی ایم سی کے معاملات میں بے بنیاد اور بے جا مداخلت سے دلبرداشتہ ہوگئے تھے۔
سابق میئر کا موقف تھا کہ پی ٹی آئی کی حکومت نے کمیشن کے قیام کے ذریعے اُن کے ہاتھ باندھ دیئے ہیں اور آئی ایم سی کو عوام کے لئے کام کرنے سے روکا جارہا ہے۔
اب چونکہ مسلم لیگ (ن) کے ایک نئے امیدوار نے انتخاب جیت لیا ہے تو پی ٹی آئی کی حکومت کو صبر کا مظاہرہ کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ اور وہ روایت ختم کرنے کی کوشش کرنی چاہئے جو انتخاب ہارنے والی پارٹی کے کارکنان جیتنے والے کے کام میں رکاوٹیں ڈال کر پیدا کرتے ہیں۔
