‘Actresses Aren’t Prostitutes’, Mariyam Nafees Rebuffs Offer

The actress said that all those females in the media industry who she knows are working respectfully to earn name

Pakistani leading actress Mariyam Nafees has recently rejected an offer made by one of her followers on Instagram who asked her to pay a handsome amount for meeting his friend for few hours.

Mariyam made her television debut in Hum TV‘s Diyar-e-Dil in 2015, and since then, she has done several projects that were commended by the viewers because of her on-screen energy.

The Ishq Jalebi star has revealed a recent shocking encounter with her Instagram family of 700K followers.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Mariyam posted a message sent by one of her followers.

“Hi, I will pay you 3 lacs (Rs 300,000) cash, if you will meet with my friend for few hours. He is a nice guy who came from abroad”, reads the message.

Surprised to see the message, Mariyam believes ‘Actresses are not prostitutes’.

The actress claimed that all those females, who she knows and are associated with the media industry, are working for 12 hours or more respectfully.

Mariyam Nafees rejected the offer and said that they (actresses) come from educated backgrounds to earn money and to make a name for themselves.

She denounced the attitude of people who think that girls working in the media industry are a call away and said nobody should be allowed to disrespect others.

Actor Adnan Siddiqui also backed Mariyam and shared his thoughts on his Twitter handle.
