The performance of Pakistani weightlifter Talha Talib was recognized in the event but apart from him, none of the athletes could perform well.
Talha Talib managed to secure his name at the 5th rank in the 67kg category but missed out on a bronze medal by a narrow margin.
Upon returning to the country, Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) officials and others welcomed him at the Lahore airport.

Moreover, Pakistani badminton player Mahnoor Shahzad was outplayed by the Japanese opponent in the first round.
The 24-year-old displayed far better performance in the second match but still fell short against the Great Britain opponent.
Further, Pakistani swimmer Haseeb Tariq, who was contesting in heats for men’s 100-meter freestyle swimming, couldn’t qualify for the main contest.
On the other hand, Pakistani judoka Shah Hussain Shah was also eliminated from the event after losing the fight against Egypt’s Darwish Ramadan.
Pakistan has a grim chance to win any medals as only 5 trials are left.
The list of remaining participants competing at the Olympics includes swimmer Bismillah Khan, who will be seen in action in the 50-meter freestyle.
Moreover, Pakistan’s top shooters Khalil Akhtar and Ghulam Mustafa Bashir will be in action in 25-meter rapid fire pistol on August 1.
In addition to it, Pakistanis have tied hopes from sprinter Najma Parveen and javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem to return home with a medal.
