Deepika Leaves Film After Differences With Husband Ranveer
Sources said Deepika wanted the same remuneration as her husband but Bhansali turned down her request and continued with Ranveer
Twitteratis are divided as the news broke out that Bollywood’s highest-paid actress Deepika Padukone is no longer part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film offer after asking equal fee as her husband actor Ranveer Singh.
According to the Bollywood Hungama report, Deepika was supposed to play the role of Ranveer’s love interest in the upcoming project Baiju Bawra.
Baiju Bawra is the remake of the 1952 film of the same name, starring Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari.
The film revolves around the story of a young musician who challenged musical maestro Tansen in Mughal ruler Akbar’s court.

A source told the media agency, “Apparently, Deepika wants the same remuneration as her husband. Not a penny more, not a penny less”.
However, Bhansali turned down the request of the actress and carried on with Ranveer.
Deepika and Bhansali have earlier worked in films like Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, co-starring Ranveer Singh and their onscreen romance bowled over millions of viewers.
Soon after the news went viral, Twitter users penned down some eye-catching comments in support of Deepika.

Meanwhile, Deepika has multiple projects lined up including Kabir Khan’s ’83 with Ranveer Singh, Shakun Batra’s untitled movie with Ananya Panday, Siddharth Anand’s Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan, and film Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham.
