“Breastfeeding Activates Anti-Cancer Cells in Mother & Child”
The lactation consultant Zahra Shaheen says that breastfeeding is very healthy for a mother as well as for the newborn and she had been spreading awareness about it in her social circle ever since she stepped into this field.
Zahra was among the first three specialists from Pakistan who opted for professional training and did a 20-hour course offered by AKUH in 1994.
The lactation expert told that a mother can control her blood pressure, diabetes, pregnancy weight and can curb the chances of having breast cancer and ovarian cancer through breastfeeding.
