NCOC decides to shift winter vacation in schools to January – Sources
According to sources at National Command and Operations Center, decision was taken by consensus with all education ministers.
ISLAMABAD: National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Wednesday decided to shift winter vacation in schools to January 2022.
According to sources, the decision taken at the NCOC meeting had the support of all the provinces who agreed with the proposal.

Sources said that the decision was taken in the light of recommendations made during the inter-provincial education ministers’ conference.
NCOC sources said that the process of vaccination in educational institutions would continue, adding that educational institutions would remain closed in areas where there is heavy snowfall.
It may be recalled that the Inter-Provincial Conference of Ministers of Education (IPEMC) was held on Tuesday in which it was considered whether the winter vacation in educational institutions was shifted from December to January due to various issues.
After the meeting, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood had announced that it was agreed to have winter vacation from December 25 to January 4, however further notifications would be issued by the concerned governments.
Federal and provincial secretaries met today. The agreed proposal was that winter holidays should be from Dec 25 to Jan 4. Further notifications will be from the concerned governments
