Pakistan Won First Medal in The World Weightlifting Championship
Talha Talib lifted 143kg and won a bronze medal in 67kg category snatch event.
Talha Talib in World Weightlifting Championship Talha Talib, the Olympian of Pakistan in the 67 kg category snatch event, won a bronze medal and became the first Pakistani to win a medal in World Weightlifting Championship.
At the World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 22-year-old Talha Talib from Gujranwala won a bronze medal in the 67kg snatch event by lifting 143kg.

Russia’s Zalfat Giro won the gold and Uzbekistan’s Dostoyevsky won the silver. Talha Talib unfortunately could not complete the competition in the clean and jerk event but managed to win the first medal in the world championship.
Talha Talib released a message to the fans from her official account on the social networking site Twitter on her great success in which she wrote with the photos of the event that I am thankful to Allah that she made me the World Weightlifting Champion for Pakistan. He also thanked his fans for being able to win the first medal in the ship.

It should be noted that Talha set a new sports record in the snatch event when she lifted 132 kg in the third attempt with 127 kg and 130 kg in the first two attempts respectively.
