Yasra Rizvi Swears an Oath to Raise Her Son as a ‘Feminist’
The actress welcomed her son on May 22 and named him Ibn-e-Adam after getting inspired by Sahir Ludhianvi’s poem
Actress Yasra Rizvi is redefining motherhood by pledging to raise her son as a feminist and as a person with whom every female, child, transgender, other men, animals, and every living being of society would feel safe.
Yasra Rizvi and her husband Abdul Hadi were blessed with a son on May 22 and they named him Ibn-e-Adam after getting inspired by Sahir Ludhianvi’s poem.
Considering the current situation of Pakistani society and how women feel insecure, Yasra Rizvi vowed to shape his son’s personality as a gentleman to set an example for future generations.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Yasra wrote a heartfelt note for his son.
“I vow to raise a son who is kind, humane, fair, compassionate, and respectful”, she wrote.

She wants her son not to take someone’s vulnerability as a license to exploitation and to be someone who understands that human life is precious.
‘Who knows he can’t touch or for that matter speak to anyone without their consent’, she wrote in the note.
Through her choice of characters, Yasra Rizvi has always raised her voice for women’s rights and gender equality.
Yasra Rizvi now wants her little son to hold a graceful persona as a feminist when he grows up and inspire men of every generation to respect every living being especially women.
