Anti-terrorist squad arrested Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf's general secretary despite resistance from lawyers
Anti-terrorist squad has arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader and secretary general Asad Umar from Islamabad.
According to details, another important arrest has been made, senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Asad Umar has been arrested. Asad Umar has been arrested from Islamabad High Court premises.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Secretary General Asad Umar, and other party leaders came to Islamabad High Court to submit a petition regarding their meeting with Imran Khan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and lawyer Babar Awan, while reacting to Asad Umar’s arrest, has said that Asad Umar had already been granted bail in all the cases, his arrest falls under the category of utter contempt of court.
According to media reports, after the arrest of Asad Umar, all the PTI leaders present in the Islamabad High Court premises came to the President Islamabad High Court Bar Association’s room.
After arrest of Asad Umar, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Saifullah Niazi, CM Gilgit-Baltistan, Malaika Bukhari, and Faisal Chaudhry advocate also came to Islamabad High Court Bar Association room.
At the time of Asad Umar’s arrest, there was resistance from lawyers, but a heavy anti-terrorist squad forcefully took Asad Umar into the car.
