SBCA officers, builder remained unidentified in Nasla Tower FIR
Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officers, builders and other accused were not named in Nasla Tower's First Information Report (FIR).
KARACHI: A case has been registered against the responsible persons behind the illegal construction of Nasla Tower and commercial activities, however, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officers, builders and other accused were not named in the First Information Report (FIR).
A case was registered against the responsible people involved in the illegal construction of a high rise Nasla Tower after occupying a road besides running commercial activities by the trade of flats and shops.
Surprisingly, the SBCA officers, office bearers of the Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society (SMCHS), builders and officials of other relevant institutions were remained unidentified in the Nasla Tower FIR, a copy of which obtained by News360.

Although, the plot owner and builder Abdul Qadir was nominated in the FIR, whereas, not a single person from the concerned institutions were not named despite the court orders.
Police baton-charge residents, builders protesting demolition of Nasla Tower
The FIR was registered over the complaint of Ferozabad police station’s SHO Khushnood Javed under the sections of misuse of power, bribery.
Police officials told the media that a probe team led by SP Investigation Altaf Hussain paid a visit to the SBCA office and questioned some officers to ascertain the responsible persons who were involved in the illegal construction of Tower.
The probe team members had been told that the Nasla Tower case file was already seized by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). SP Altaf Hussain, while talking to journalists after the visit to SBCA office, said that no arrest was made so far. He said that the probe team met DG SBCA and its director of administration.

Hussain revealed that some institutions were found involved in the Tower case, however, he did not disclose their names.
Earlier in October, the Supreme Court had ordered the demolition of Nasla Tower within a week time and rejected the Karachi Commissioner’s plea seeking 50 days period.
The court ordered the Karachi commissioner to ensure payment to Tower victims from the builder.
In September, the Supreme Court had binned the review petition filed by the residents and the builder against the demolition of Nasla Tower.
