The founder of Kashf Foundation Roshaneh Zafar highlighted that the system of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is a huge hurdle for women headed households.

The social activist maintained that NADRA requires the father’s consent to get CNIC or passports which is a huge stumbling block for the children of broken families.

“All of this reeks of patriarchy and the man being seen as the head of the household”, she added.

Zafar shared an image of news along with her post narrating the story of a disabled girl who faced troubles in getting her identity card as her father abandoned her in childhood.

The tweet shared by Roshaneh Zafar didn’t go unnoticed and the NADRA official handle commented on it.
