Newborn Kidnapped From Private Hospital in Karachi Recovered
The CCTV footages show that the accused, disguised as a nurse, fled alone in the rickshaw from the hospital around 3.30 pm on Thursday
A newborn baby, who was kidnapped on Thursday from a private hospital in Karachi, has been recovered and Kemari SSP Fida Hussain Janwari said that the abductor had sold the infant for Rs 30,000.
He added that the police have also identified the kidnapper who would be apprehended soon.
The family had reported the incident to the jurisdiction police station and the search for the kidnapper had begun.
According to the details, a woman gave birth to a baby boy at 6 am at a private hospital situated in Baldia Town.
The family was left shocked to learn that the infant was missing from the gynecology ward of the hospital at around 3:15 pm on the same day.

The father, Muhammad Naeem, said they started the search for the suspect with the help of the hospital administration.
Through the footage of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the private hospital, the police said that the incident took place around 3.30 pm and that the accused, disguised as a nurse, fled alone from the hospital in a rickshaw after she kidnapped the newborn.
Moreover, the child’s maternal uncle claimed that the woman took the child from her mother under the pretext of weighing her.
The victim’s family blamed the hospital management for showing negligence and poor security, however, the management denied all allegations in this regard.
Baldia Town Police SHO Nawaz Gondal told they have registered the first information report (FIR).
