On the announcement of their marriage and the son’s birth, PPP MPA Taimur Talpur congratulated the couple.

“Keeping politics aside, I congratulate Haleem Adil Sheikh on his marriage and [the birth of his son]. The only sad part is that Haleem Adil did not invite me to his wedding, otherwise, I would have attended the reception too”, he wrote.

Soon after the news went viral, Haleem’s political opponents say that there should be an investigation into whether his secret marriage took place before or after the 2018 elections.

Some of them are of the view that if he got married before the general polls, it must be in his nomination papers.

Responding to media about his second marriage, Haleem said he married Dua Bhutto after the 2018 general elections and it is not “something to be kept secret”.

He added, “It is our matter, and we have the right to disclose it whenever we wanted”.
