Absenteeism of Teachers in KP Will Result in Salary Cut
As several teachers were reported absent from the school, the initiative will ensure the presence of the teachers in the schools
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) education ministry has introduced a new initiative in all districts to ensure full attendance of teachers in the schools or else they will be forced to opt for salary deduction over absenteeism.
In this regard, the provincial education department has dispatched the letters to the district education officers across the province.
The ministry directed education officers to issue show cause notice in case of one-time absenteeism and the competent authority will review whether to exonerate or deduct their one-day salary.
Moreover, two increments of the concerned teacher would be seized for three years if they didn’t show up for 4 days.
There will be demotion or removal from service for an educator who remains absent from the school for 5 days.
