Arshad Nadeem in Finals, Last Hope For Olympic Medal
In his first attempt, the athlete reached the 78.5m mark but in the next round, his throw of 85.16m led him to the finals
Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem is making rounds on social media as he qualifies for the final round of the javelin throw competition in Tokyo Olympics and the nation wants him to bring home a medal.
Arshad, 24, was the last among 10 athletes representing Pakistan at the Tokyo Olympics.
While the rest couldn’t qualify for the next round in their respective categories, Arshad stands out from the crowd.

In his first attempt, Arshad reached the 78.5m mark but in the next round, his throw of 85.16m led him to the finals.
He was placed in group B for the contest, where the athlete was required to throw a minimum of 83.5m to directly qualify for the final, and to one’s surprise, Arshad made it look like a piece of cake.
In this regard, sports journalist Faizan Lakhani shared Arshad’s accomplishment and since then, many Pakistanis have penned down their feelings on Twitter.

Creating history, Arshad is the first-ever Pakistani to qualify for the final of javelin throw event in the Olympics.
Arshad’s throw was overall third-best in the contest after India’s Neeraj Chopra (86.65m) and Germany’s Johannes Vetter (85.64m).
With his phenomenal performance, the nation sends wishes and love on Twitter and they are impatiently waiting for the athlete to bag a medal for Pakistan on August 7.
